Ālbugfāa Se (/əˑlˈbugfəˑ/ /a/ [chair] [small; little; short; low; miniature]) is a temperate Town located in Shåvphÿhz Hold, Íhglopníhp Provence, within the Tauranian United Provinces.

The name Ālbugfāa Se is derived from the Tauric language, as Ālbugfāa Se was founded by Béōy Ha̋sh 'Andre Cutebia' Gōōkī Gä̋mp̪f̄ Cú̄̌sh Nanner, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Ālbugfāa Se has a yearly average temperature of 21°C (69°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 29°C (84°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 14°C (57°F). Ālbugfāa Se receives an average of 193 cm/y (75 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Ālbugfāa Se covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 1454 m (4770 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Ālbugfāa Se was founded durring the late 15th century in fall of the year 1371, by Béōy Ha̋sh 'Andre Cutebia' Gōōkī Gä̋mp̪f̄ Cú̄̌sh Nanner. The establishment of Ālbugfāa Se suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Ālbugfāa Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ālbugfāa Se is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Ālbugfāa Se is buildings are arranged arround a network of spacious split-log ties streets which form a grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town is protected by a well-crafted cobblestone fence tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. The frontieer-style defences has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.

A look around Ālbugfāa Se gives you an uneasy feeling. Everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or both. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring jsut long enough for it to be uncomfortable.

Ālbugfāa Se's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for the combined use of arcuated and trabeated construction, employing arches and constructed with post and lintel. The arch served as the style's chief structural element, with flanking columns serving as buttresses or decorations. While the general shape of their structures could be generously described as simplistic, the use of these arches and columns created a most distinct ascetic which is easily distinguishable on sight to armatures and experts alike.

Old patterns of authority and wealth are being disrupted, and the old gentry are unlikely to be pleased about it. They may be trying to take over the industry, or they may have been the ones to enable it in the first place and are using it to crush the life out of any rival power bases. Outsiders might be playing a major role as well, and it could be they plot to siphon off the profits.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century the Kami spared the town from an attack. One of Ālbugfāa Se's local festivals commemorates this miracle.
